The Movement for the Independence of Liguria
on behaf of the present
People of Liguria
aims at recovering
national Sovereignty and Independence
to LIGURIA
by peaceful political and juridical actions.
Independence was temporarily lost in  1814
due to the illegitimate decision of the
Congress of Vienna,
when the former Republic of Genoa
was gifted to the Savoia dominion in the Piedmont Reign.
That decision was
firmly opposed
by the legitimate ligurian government
and NEVER ratified by a popular vote.
